Description: Acidophilus is a Probiotic bacteria that exists naturally in the small intestines. It is one strain of the types of bacteria commonly known as "friendly bacteria" as they exist naturally in the small and large intestines and are beneficial to health. Acidophilus has many health benefits.

Scientific name: Lactobacillus acidophilus.

Richest Food Sources: This supplement is not directly derived from food but certain foods rich in roughage and complex sugars encourage their growth. These types of foods are called "Prebiotics". Your diet should be rich in raw vegetables to help your probiotics flourish.
